The Winelands,
your way.
The Tour
Every tour,
fully adapted
Not a drinker? You still belong here. Every tour we run adapts completely — premium non-alcoholic alternatives at each estate, same scenery, same access, same guide. The beauty of the Cape Winelands has nothing to do with alcohol.
- 01
Premium non-alcoholic alternatives at every estate
Freshly pressed grape juice, verjuice, estate-made kombucha, and curated soft drinks — we confirm the options at each stop in advance.
- 02
Same itinerary, estates, and cellar access as the full tour
Vineyard walks, cellar tours, the winemaker's story — none of it changes. The experience of the Cape is not primarily about what's in the glass.
- 03
Ideal for designated drivers, teetotallers, and sober-curious guests
Mixed groups are completely welcome too — some members drinking, others not. Everyone leaves with something they loved in their hand all day.
- 04
Marinus briefs each estate in advance — no awkwardness, no omissions
Every stop is forewarned. You receive the same welcome, the same cellar tour, and the same unhurried attention as any other guest.
A Typical Day
Your tour itinerary
We're happy to adjust pick-up times and estate visits based on your preferences — this is a rhythm, not a rulebook.
Collection from Cape Town
We collect you from your accommodation and head into the Winelands — or 10:30 if you're already staying in the valley.
First estate tasting
A vineyard walk and guided tasting at our first handpicked family estate in Stellenbosch.
Lunch
A relaxed lunch at a selected estate restaurant or in town, with time to explore.
Coffee stop
A quick stop at one of the Winelands' excellent local cafés — an old habit from a former life in coffee.
Second & third estates
Two more producers through the afternoon — a cellar tour, a terroir walk, and the day's hidden gem.
Home, unhurried
Returned to your door with notes on everything you loved — and a bottle or two of juice or kombucha, if you couldn't resist.
The Cape Winelands
A world worth
seeing slowly
Mountains, vines, historic estates, and some of the finest food in South Africa — all of this is still yours.

How long is the tour? +
Most tours run 5–7 hours. Half-day options (3–4 hours, two estates, no lunch) are available on request.
What is included in the price? +
Private pick-up and drop-off, all tasting and entry fees, lunch, and the guide.
Can we choose which estates to visit? +
Absolutely. If you have specific estates or cultivars in mind, let us know and we'll build the itinerary around your preferences.
How many people can join a tour? +
Tours are private and work for any group size from 2 to 12. Larger groups can be accommodated — just ask.
Do you offer pick-up from Cape Town? +
Yes. We offer pick-up from most accommodation in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Cape Town. Pickup time from Cape Town is typically 9:30 AM.
Can non-drinkers join? +
Absolutely. Non-alcoholic alternatives are always available and the experience is just as rich. Let us know in advance.
Will the estates treat me differently? +
No. Marinus briefs each estate in advance, and premium non-alcoholic options are prepared the same way as the wine flights. You receive the same welcome, the same cellar tour, and the same attention.
Mixed groups
Travelling with wine drinkers?
Most of my groups are a mix, and that is the easiest kind of day to run. The full-day private Stellenbosch wine tour and the Franschhoek wine tour both pour non-alcoholic flights alongside the wine, at the same estates and the same table — nobody sits the tasting out.
