Who we are

This website is operated by Marinus Wijnbeek, trading as MyWineTour, based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa. You can reach us at bookings@mywinetour.co.za.

What information we collect

When you submit a booking enquiry through our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Preferred tour date
  • Number of guests
  • Pick-up location
  • Any additional details you choose to share

This website does not collect payment information. Where a tour is paid for by card, the payment is processed by Yoco, our payment provider, and your card details go to them directly — we never see or store them. EFT payments reach us as an ordinary bank transfer.

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data (pages visited, session duration, general location). GA4 uses cookies to distinguish visitors. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to:

  • Respond to your booking enquiry
  • Confirm and arrange your tour
  • Follow up on any questions related to your booking

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we store your information

Booking enquiries are received and stored securely via Netlify Forms. Card payment records are held by Yoco under their own privacy terms. We retain your information for as long as necessary to manage your booking and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping purposes.

Your rights under POPIA

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to the processing of your information
